– Applications for Fall 2027 are open
Students interested in starting at UNB in Fall 2027 can now apply. And thereβs an added opportunity to save on the application fee: students who connect with a UNB recruiter, take a campus tour or attend a UNB future student event may be eligible to have their undergraduate application fee waived. When completing their application, students should select βpay laterβ when prompted for payment. Our recruitment team will then apply the waiver.

– Scholarships: Encourage students to apply early
UNB offers hundreds of entrance scholarships and awards including multi-year awards. Students should know that they must first apply for admission and then complete the Entrance Scholarship Application by March 1, 2027 to be considered for most of our entrance scholarships. Students with an average of 80% or higher are eligible for a minimum of a $500 scholarship, with larger awards available at higher averages.
There are also several major scholarship opportunities that counsellors should be aware of, including:
- Currie Undergraduate Scholarship β $75,000
- Beaverbrook Scholars Award β $62,000
- Schulich Leader Scholarships β $100,000β$120,000
- Ted Rogers Legacy Scholarship β $100,000
- Dr. Salem & Laila Masry Scholarship β $80,000
The Schulich Leader Scholarship requires a nomination from a guidance counsellor, with one nomination available per Canadian high school. The 2027 nomination deadline is January 27, 2027.

– π« Visit UNB
There is no better way for students to get a feel for UNB than by experiencing our campuses for themselves. Students can book a campus tour Monday to Friday, with additional Saturday opportunities throughout the year. Tours provide students with an opportunity to explore our campuses, residence options and academic spaces while connecting with someone from our recruitment team. For students travelling from outside New Brunswick, we also have travel support available for eligible campus tour visits.

– Future Student Events
Our full schedule of future student events is now available, including Open Houses, Future Student Nights and other opportunities to explore UNB. Our recruiters will also be travelling extensively this fall and winter, visiting high schools and meeting with students across Canada. If you would like to have a UNB recruiter visit your school, please reach out to me and we would be happy to coordinate a visit.

– Connect with a Recruiter
Students don’t have to figure everything out on their own. Whether they have questions about programs, admission requirements, scholarships, residence, campus life, co-op, choosing between Fredericton and Saint John, or simply aren’t sure where to start, our recruitment team is here to help. Students are connected with a recruiter who can provide guidance specific to their province and circumstances.
