Graduation Ceremony—Thursday, June 19th at LHHS A Beautiful Celebration Awaits!

  • Gown Up in Style! Starting June 2, grads will receive their very own gown, stole, and mortar board during advisory — and the best part? You get to keep them as lasting mementos of this special milestone.
  • A Transformed Stage for a Moment to Shine: Our cafetorium will be beautifully transformed into a stunning ceremony space, setting the perfect backdrop for you to cross the stage and receive your diploma.
  • No Guest Limits – The More, The Merrier!

Unlike other venues, where space constraints limit the number of attendees, families at LHHS can bring as many loved ones as they wish.  So yes, invite your friends to come and cheer you on.

  • Parking Pro Tip: Parking is limited, so we encourage guests to carpool whenever possible.
  • Ready, Set, Celebrate: Grads should arrive dressed in their gowns, ready to make their memorable walk across the stage.
  • A Grand Entrance: Grads and their guests will line up together at the front of the school and enter through the main doors. The whole party must be present before entering — check the schedule below for your assigned time.
  • Capture the Magic: As your guests head to a prime photo area near the stage, you’ll make your way to the spotlight for your big moment. From start to finish, the experience takes about 20 minutes or less.
  • A Journey to Remember: While most of the process is standing room only to keep the flow of the celebration, there will be accessible seating available.
  • Here to Help: Our amazing staff will be on hand — inside and out — to guide and support you every step of the way.
  • Picture-Perfect Finish: After the diploma presentation, grads and guests will exit through the back doors to a dedicated photo op area — the perfect spot to snap those unforgettable memories!
  • Weather Plan: In case of inclement weather, the line-up will be moved indoors, and the photo op will take place in the gym. Rain or shine, it will be a beautiful celebration!

To avoid long lines and wait times, Grads and Guests are asked to come according to the following schedule:

Last Name Diploma Ceremony Last Name Diploma Ceremony
A-CL 9:00-9:45am Mc-Re 1:15-2:15pm
CM-G 9:45-10:30am Rf-Z 2:15-3:15pm
H-Mb 10:30-11:45am

There is some flexibility if your time slot doesn’t work for you, just go see your VP and we will get you sorted.  You do not have to come at the start of your time slot and will not be there for the whole time.

The decision to continue hosting our graduation ceremony at LHHS, rather than returning to the Aitken Center, was made in consultation with the Directors of Schools and our counterparts at FHS and OHS. This decision was guided by positive feedback from students and families who have experienced both formats and found our in-school ceremony to be more personal, inclusive, and meaningful.

We recognize that no single approach will meet everyone’s preferences. However, our primary goal is to ensure that every graduate—especially those with anxiety or individualized learning needs—feels comfortable and celebrated in a familiar and supportive environment. Our current format aligns with trauma-informed practices, creating a space where all students can fully participate in this milestone event.
