The annual AARAO (Atlantic Association of Registrars & Admissions Officers) Post-Secondary Fair will take place at LHHS on Thursday, October 3rd during periods 4 and 5 in our main gym for our Grade 11 and 12 students. This is the most informative post-secondary event of the year and will provide students with a valuable opportunity to learn about multiple post-secondary options in one location!
We understand that it may not be possible for students in Co-op or Personal Interest courses to attend and that some students may be attending twice if they happen to have both a Gr 11 and Gr 12 course in the afternoon. However, we have done our best to include everyone in the schedule below! If you have a Gr 11 or 12 student who will not be able to attend at a given time, please encourage them to attend during any one of the 4 time slots below. If you happen to have any Gr 10 students in your classes, they can attend as well. Please inform your students that there will also be an AARAO evening session held in the FHS main gym from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Thursday, October 3rd.
On the afternoon of October 3rd, we will call students down by letter groupings of teachers’ last name, at which time you will bring your entire class to the main gym. Please also note that Grade 11 and 12 teachers are expected to accompany their classes for supervision at the following times:
Period 4
1:40 – 2:10pm: Grade 12 course teachers with last names A-H
2:10 – 2:40pm: Grade 12 course teachers with last names I-Z
Period 5
2:50 – 3:20pm: Grade 11 course teachers with last names A-L
3:20 – 3:50pm: Grade 11 course teachers with last names M-Z
