As we approach the end of Semester 1, we want to share information about our alternate schedule for the final week, January 19–23.
The purpose of the alternate schedule is to provide students with final opportunities to demonstrate evidence of their learning. While assessments will look different across courses, students will be creating, sharing, or reviewing evidence of learning each day.
Daily Schedule:
– 8:35–8:50 — Student Support Time
– 8:55–9:55 — Class Review / Assessment
– 10:05–11:15 — Assessment
– 11:20–12:20 — Additional Assessment Time (as needed)
– 12:20–1:20 — Lunch
– 1:30–2:30 — Recovery if needed
– 2:35–3:35 — Recovery if needed
Each day will rotate to the next period (Jan 19 = Period 1, Jan 20 = Period 2, etc.), with all five periods completed by Friday.
In the event of a cancelled school day, the assessment will be shifted to the following morning, and the next assessment will take place that afternoon. (ex. If Monday is cancelled, P.1 assessment will be Tuesday morning and P.2 assessment will be Tuesday afternoon.
