Please be advised that start up for Leo Hayes High School for this coming school year will be as follows:
Grade 9 students only – First Day, Tuesday, September 5, 2023. (They will also attend the rest of the week.)
Buses and parent drop off can be in either the front or back parking lot any time after 8:00 a.m. We will have lots of supervisors outside as well as inside the building to direct students to go to meet their homeroom teacher. Please make sure your child has a pen, pencil, some looseleaf and a couple of binders to get through the day. We will be barbecuing hotdogs for our grade 9’s at lunch time but our cafeteria will not open until Wednesday. If your students do not like hotdogs, please make sure you send them with a lunch. Their teachers will advise them what specific supplies they will need for their classes.
Grade 10, 11 & 12 students – First Day, Wednesday, September 6, 2023. (They will attend the rest of the week.)
Buses and parent drop off can be in either the front or back parking lot any time after 8:00 a.m. We will have lots of supervisors outside as well as inside the building to direct students to the area where their homeroom classes are posted. Please do not assume you are in the same class with the same teacher as last year as we have had multiple changes over the summer. Please make sure your child has a pen, pencil, some looseleaf and a couple of binders to get through the day. Their teachers will advise them what specific supplies they will need for their classes.
School will dismiss at 3:25 p.m. and buses will start arriving immediately after dismissal. Please make sure your child knows what bus they are to take to and from school. If you are a new student to Leo Hayes and not yet registered, please try and do so before Tuesday so we can get your child enrolled and set up with a schedule before Tuesday.
